J&J Refuse Inc. - Senior Discount Program


The Township is eligible to receive a discount from J&J Refuse for waste disposal and recycling services provided to Township residents aged 65 years and older, but the Township needs your assistance to make this happen!. Please contact Township Hall Office Administrator, at (330) 425-4497 Ext. 222 or via email. Proof of age must be submitted in order to receive the discount.

LIFELINE - A program of Info Line, Inc.

Q: What is Lifeline?
A: Lifeline is a personal emergency Alarm Response System, that provides  help at the touch of a button, independence and security, and 24-hour  monitoring.

Q: Who qualifies for Lifeline?
A: Township residents aged 62 years or older with medical conditions that reside within the unincorporated boundaries of Twinsburg Township may apply for this program. Also, handicapped adults with medical conditions as well as disabled adults may apply. Those who wish to apply for this service  must submit proof of age, proof of income, and proof of medical condition or disability.

Q: Are there any fees imposed to those that participate?
A: Yes, a fee is charged for this service, but the County currently receives Community Development Block Grant funding for this services.

Q: Is there a waiting list?
A: Depending on demand, there is no waiting list to receive the Lifeline services and/or have the fee paid by the County. Once applications are submitted, residents are placed on a waiting list for the County. As openings become available, they are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Q: What do I have to have in order to get Lifeline?
A: You must have a working telephone, and at least three volunteer responders (close neighbors or relatives) who will help you in an emergency situation.

Q: Does someone have to come into my home?
A: Yes, once your application is approved, an identified representative from InfoLine will contact you to arrange for installation of a call box in your home. You will also be given a small wireless necklace or bracelet to wear, which lets you call for help without having to get to your phone.

Q: How do I obtain an application?
A: Interested residents may contact the Township Hall, for a registration packet.
