Also Effective January 1, 2007, through December 31, 2009 (with twooptional one-year extensions), the Township has contracted with J&J Refues, Inc. for residential solid waste disposal and recycling services.

Senior Citizens, age 65 years or older, are eligible for a discount. Senior Citizens are encouraged to register through the Township to provide discount billings.

Collection is scheduled for each Tuesday. All rubbish shall be set out by 6:00 a.m. In an effort to keep the community clean, we ask that residents do not set out rubbish until the day before the actual pick-up day. Special Trash Bags are No Longer Needed!

Rubbish Services will be delayed one day during the following holidays, ONLY if the holiday falls on a Monday or Tuesday.

If you are going on vacation, or will not be utilizing your service for a period of three months or longer, please contact the Township Hall to put a “hold-service” on your account. We will need to know the date to stop service, as well as the date to re-start service.

J & J Refuse will accept the following items for recycling:

-- Clear, green and brown glass bottles and jars, #1 and #2 plastic bottles, aluminum cans, bi-metal cans, newspapers, magazines, telephone books, corrugated cardboard, paper bags, drink boxes, milk and juice cartons.

-- Recyclable materials may be commingled together, but must be separated from the trash.

-- Paper products should be placed in a brown paper bag or tied in bundles and placed on top of or next to the recycling bin.


J & J Refuse does not accept plastic food tubs, plastic bags, egg cartons, paper food boxes, Anti-Freeze or Motor Oil Containers.
