The Township is statutorily required to mow roadside ditches along Township roads two or three times per year. The Township currently exceeds this minimum standard by mowing roadside ditches along Township roads on a monthly basis throughout the mowing season. The Service Department mows roadside ditches along Township roads beginning during the fourth full week of each month, from May through September. For 2012 these dates will be during the weeks beginning on Tuesday May 28 (delayed due to Memorial Day), Monday June 24, Monday July 22, Monday August 26, and Monday September 23. No application is necessary, but residents are asked to keep roadside ditches free of debris, including but not limited to trash, grass clippings, leaves, and branches, to help keep this service cost-effective and efficient for all. Roadside ditches along County and State roads in the Township are mowed by the County and State, respectively, on a less frequent basis, consistent with the minimum standard referenced above.
